Hi All,
I'm new to this tribe and wanted to say "Hello." I'm based in Victoria, BC and I'm a practicing artist and writer. I have a huge interest in art deco, especially paintings, the streamliners, and sculpture depicting the human figure.
I intend to create an ongoing series of figures, paintings and sculptures in the art deco style and I'm looking for as many resources as I can find. In addition, if I could find some art techniques to help me get a feeling for the style, that would be awesome. Any information, photos, drawings, resources, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nathan

Re: Wanting to study art deco
Thu, November 30, 2006 - 11:11 AMIf you can get your hands on the book published by the V&A when they did their Art Deco exhibit in 2001(?), that would be a fantastic resource. However, from Amazon.com there is a highly reccommended book on Art Deco that might be more accessible ( www.amazon.com/Art-Deco-1...666-5092661
